Job summary

Back of The House Inc. is seeking a Busser to support the guest experience by maintaining a clean, organized dining environment and assisting with service flow across tables, bar, and patio.

You will clear, reset, and stock service areas, help servers with pre-bussing, and run food as needed to ensure smooth operations. A strong teamwork mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Job description

Position Objective

The Busser supports the guest experience by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dining environment. This role is responsible for clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables and service areas while supporting the team to ensure smooth and seamless service. Bussers are expected to operate with T.R.A.Y. as the foundation of service, prioritizing timeliness, respect, attention to detail, and your responsibility in every interaction.

Table Maintenance - Clear, clean, and reset tables and bar tops quickly and thoroughly, including edges, under tables, and seating areas

Cleanliness & Floors - Keep all walkways, dining areas, patios, and surrounding spaces clean and free of debris at all times

Support & Teamwork - Assist with refilling water, pre-bussing, and running food as needed to support overall service

Guest Support - Respond to guest needs by assisting directly or connecting them with their server

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and move throughout all areas of the restaurant
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift or move items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions
• Ability to work safely around hot surfaces, wet floors, glassware, walk-in refrigerators/freezers, and cleaning chemicals

Certifications

• Food safety and RBS certification are required
• If not currently certified, employees must complete certifications within 30 days of hire
