Description

The Busser is responsible for bussing, clearing, and re-setting tables. Other responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and assisting guests as needed. The Busser reports directly to the FOH Manager or Manager on Duty.

  • Clear away dishes from guests.
  • Wipe down tabletops and chairs, then re-set tabletops with place settings.
  • Inspect and clean carpet and flooring when debris or liquids are detected.
  • Respond to guest questions and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Set up and maintain side work, including setting up tables at the beginning or end of shifts.
  • Carry trays to the dishwasher, unload, and wipe trays clean.
  • Scrape and stack dishes, then return dirty dishes and silverware to the dishwashing area, sorting and placing them in a prescribed area for washing.
  • Stock stations with roll-ups and placemats.
  • Check restrooms for cleanliness.
  • Respond to guest requests and assist servers with their tables as needed.
  • Inspect the floor for debris and spills, then sweep or dry as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
