Job summary

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar is seeking a part-time Busperson/Server Assistant to support the front-of-house team in a fast-paced resort dining setting. You will help keep tables spotless, assist servers, and ensure a welcoming guest experience in Puerto Rico.

Ideal candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish with a focus on cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction; prior F&B exposure is a plus, and health and safety certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Experience in Food & Beverage preferred but not required.
• Safety and Food Handling Certification required.
• Health certificate as per Puerto Rico health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized dining area and assist servers.
• Set and reset tables with clean china, glassware, and linen.
• Restock supplies and respond promptly to guest needs during service.

Job Summary

The Busperson/Server Assistant supports the front-of-house team by ensuring a clean, well-organized dining environment and assisting servers in delivering outstanding guest service. This role is responsible for setting and resetting tables with spotless china, glassware, silverware, and linen, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout service, and responding promptly to guest needs. With a courteous and proactive approach, the Busperson helps uphold service standards, refills beverages, clears tables, and ensures a smooth, welcoming experience for every guest.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Previous F&B experience preferred (but no required).
• Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Safety and Food Handling Certification.
• Valid Health Certificate (including throat culture results) as required by the Puerto Rico Department of Health.

Physical Requirements

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Routinely required to bend, stoop, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must have the physical stamina and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
