Job summary

KPOT is seeking a Busser in Orlando, FL to support the dining room by keeping tables clean, resetting surfaces, and helping servers during service.

You will maintain sanitation standards, check bathrooms hourly, stock busser carts, and ensure the dining area operates smoothly in a fast-paced environment. No prior restaurant experience is required; part-time with flexible scheduling and employee discounts are available.

Qualifications

Prior experience with a restaurant group is a plus!
Minimum - No prior restaurant experience is necessary
Preferred - 1+ years prior restaurant experience

Responsibilities

Clean tables and dining areas promptly; wipe surfaces with sanitizing towel; reset tables; manage waste and napkin dispensers; sweep floors.
Know menu items; describe food and drinks if asked.
Perform bathroom checks hourly and address issues or notify management.
Assemble and clean busser carts and prepare necessary items.
Ensure sufficient grills are stocked and ready for service.
Assist servers and bartenders to maintain sections and bar area.
Multi-task and track several tables through the dining experience; break down tables within 3 minutes of guest departure.
Thank departing guests and invite return; escalate issues to manager.
Lift boxes up to 25 lbs; stand for ~4 hours in a fast-paced environment.
Breakdown and reset dining room at end of shift; mop floors; reset mats, bathrooms, and boards.
Perform daily deep-clean tasks.

Role Overview

A busser serves patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and environment.

Responsibilities & Duties

Primary job function is to clean tables and dining areas in a prompt and efficient manner. All surfaces should be wiped clean with a sanitizing towel, tables reset, clean/lined garbage pail, fill napkin dispenser, and floor swept.
Menu knowledge should be extensive. Awareness and ability to describe all food, drink, and special menu items, if asked by a guest.
Bathroom checks at least once per hour with corresponding checklist in use. Any issues rectified immediately, or brought to the manager’s attention.
Assembling and cleaning of busser carts for service along with preparation of necessary.
Ensure that there are sufficient grills in the dining area for use throughout the service.
Teamwork is essential to a smooth operating work environment. Assisting servers in maintaining sections throughout the shift. Assisting bartenders in maintaining/stocking the bar area throughout the shift.
Should possess the ability to multi-task and be aware of several tables progression through the dining experience. Initiating breakdown of table within 3 minutes of guest departure.
Providing all departing guests with a sincere “Thank You” and invitation to return to K-Pot. If a guest relays that an issue was present during their experience, get a manager immediately.
Ability to lift boxes occasionally up to 25lbs. Standing on one’s feet in a fast paced environment for a period of approximately 4 hours or longer.
At the end of the shift, the dining room is broken down and reset for the next day’s service, including all floor mopped, mats washed in kitchen utility sink area, bathrooms brought to standard, exterior menu boards brought into foyer area and all busser carts cleaned.
Asked to perform a deep clean assignment daily.
