Job summary

The Gwen Chicago, located in downtown Chicago, seeks a hospitality teammate to assist the Outlet Manager and Servers, maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment and delivering stellar service.

Responsibilities include clearing tables, resetting service ware, maintaining station cleanliness, serving beverages and bread, and transporting dishes to be cleaned. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push carts up to 150 lbs is required; reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart weighing up to 150 lbs, with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting.
• Promptly and consistently reset all service ware.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, and condiments.
• Serve guests with beverages, bread, and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary.
• Transport dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Overview

Assist the Outlet Manager and Restaurant Servers in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, as well as providing guests stellar service.
