Job Summary

At Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, the Bus Person is responsible for clearing and setting up restaurant tables, assisting food servers with guest needs such as refilling drinks, and maintaining a clean and well‑organized dining environment. The role requires a guest‑oriented attitude and the ability to lift and transport large amounts of dishes and silverware.

Responsibilities
  • Stock and maintain bus/dish cart station.
  • Ensure necessary supplies, silverware, dishes, and paper products are available.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bus station area(s).
  • Performopening duties to keep the station well organized and stocked.
  • Ensure the dining room is in guest‑ready condition.
  • Remove unused settings, clear dirty dishes, and provide water, coffee, iced tea, and soda refills as requested.
  • Pre‑buss (“remove excess dishes”) from tables throughout the shift.
  • Approach tables promptly with a warm greeting.
  • Assist food servers with guest service.
  • Greet and seat guests when a host/hostess is not present.
  • As guests depart, clear and reset tables quickly.
  • Remove all dishes and glassware from tables after guests have left.
  • Clean table surfaces and ensure proper sanitation.
  • Set tables in proper order according to company expectations.
  • Use a tray/bus tub at all times to clear all tables and deliver beverages.
  • Transport dishes from the restaurant bus station area to the dishwashing area.
  • Sort and separate silverware, dishes, and glassware per guidelines.
  • Maintain thorough housekeeping practices of the assigned station before, during, and after the shift, including floors, walls, chairs, and tables.
  • Empty and clean all restaurant trash cans as needed.
  • Routinely check trash cans for discarded tableware and kitchen utensils, retrieving and cleaning as necessary.
  • Perform incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience helpful.
  • Certificates and licenses: Alcohol Awareness.
Technical & Professional Knowledge

Knowledge, skills, education, and experience relevant to maintaining restaurant bus station operations, sanitation, and guest service.

Work Environment

The incumbent works on‑site at the casino, interacting with guests, Team Members, and vendors. The schedule may include Saturday/Sunday and evening work.

Physical Demands

The job requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, and hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
