Innovate is looking for a Business Unit Lead for Salesforce / Technology Consulting to oversee the operations, growth, delivery performance, and people development of Innovate Inc.'s Salesforce Business Unit. Reporting to Innovate’s Delivery Director, this role oversees the development and implementation of innovative Salesforce solutions, ensures client and staff satisfaction, and identifies opportunities for profitable business growth.

Location: Candidate can work remotely

Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 base salary/year

Total Target Compensation: $180,000 - $220,000 annually (inclusive of base salary and annual performance bonus opportunity). Final base pay is determined by experience and skill set.

This position supports a federal government contract that legally requires U.S. citizenship. Additionally, you must physically reside and perform all work within the United States.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Serve in chargeable senior roles on client projects, including Senior Program Manager, Portfolio Manager, Engagement Lead, Salesforce Delivery Lead, Solution Advisor, or Management Consultant.
• Ensure delivery is managed within approved scope, budget, schedule, staffing, and contractual constraints to meet client needs and Innovate financial requirements.
• Proactively monitor and remedy risks, issues, dependencies, staffing constraints, quality concerns, scope changes, and stakeholder conflicts; **escalate** material matters to the Delivery Director as appropriate.
• Manage Business Unit budget and financial performance; monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective strategies related to project margin, contract renewals, labor rates, staff utilization, staffing forecasts, project burn, subcontractor costs, invoicing readiness, and forecast variance.
• Identify incremental revenue and profit-generating tasks, opportunities, and strategic client needs within Salesforce accounts; coordinate with Business Development for pipeline management, capture, and pursuit governance.
• Evaluate Salesforce business-development opportunities for technical feasibility, staffing availability, delivery risk, solution fit, profitability, and strategic alignment.
• Coordinate staffing across Salesforce engagements; make recommendations regarding hiring, employee assignments, subcontractor needs, labor mix, succession coverage, and retention actions.
• Attract, develop, motivate, mentor, and retain high-caliber Salesforce staff through leadership, coaching, training, performance feedback, professional-development planning, and career-path support.
• Identify workforce capability gaps and develop training, mentoring, certification, knowledge-sharing, and recruiting strategies to address them.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, staffing transitions, and succession planning in partnership with Human Resources and the Delivery Director.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with Salesforce, implementation partners, subcontractors, and complementary technology partners, as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated experience supporting account growth, solutioning, proposals, capture, or business-development activities
• Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in technology consulting, enterprise application delivery, program/project management, management consulting, or related professional services.
• Experience leading Salesforce implementations, enhancements, managed services, CRM modernization, or related enterprise digital-transformation work.
• At least five years of experience leading complex client-facing projects, programs, portfolios, delivery teams, or consulting engagements.
• Demonstrated success managing client expectations, scope, budget, schedule, resources, project risk, quality, and delivery financial performance.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe, ITIL, Prosci, or similar certifications.
• Experience with government, education, nonprofit, public-sector, or regulated-industry clients.
• Experience with operating-model design, strategic roadmaps, process improvement, customer experience, organizational change, and business-case development
