Job summary

Southern Methodist University is seeking a Business Undergraduate Librarian on campus to lead the BBA Library Research Program within the Cox undergraduate curriculum. You will teach, collaborate with Cox faculty, assess student learning, and help shape the future of the curricular program.

You will develop expertise in business resources, data and analytics, and AI literacy, supported by mentoring from experienced librarians and opportunities for growth within SMU Libraries.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library/information science or equivalent required by start date.
• Experience teaching information literacy or research techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and strengthen the BBA Library Research Program through relationships with Cox faculty.
• Develop familiarity with business information resources and emerging research technologies, including AI literacy.
• Create and maintain research guides, tutorials, and digital learning resources.
• Coordinate assessment of the BBA Library Research Program.
• Supervise and mentor student assistants.
• Engage in publishing, presentations, or professional service.
