Job summary

Southern Methodist University invites applications for the Business Undergraduate Program Librarian. This on-campus, in-person role supports the BBA Library Research Program within the Cox School, partnering with faculty to deliver scaffolded information literacy instruction and research assistance to undergraduates.

You will develop instruction materials, assess student learning, and collaborate with colleagues to advance business information resources, AI literacy, and data-driven research

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an ALA-accredited library or information science program.
• Experience teaching information literacy or research skills is preferred.
• Experience with undergraduate instruction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scaffolded information literacy instruction across the Cox undergraduate curriculum.
• Provide research and reference support to students and the SMU community.
• Develop and maintain research guides and tutorials.
• Collaborate with the Teaching Team on instructional initiatives.
• Coordinate assessment of the BBA Library Research Program.
• Supervise and mentor student assistants.
• Engage in professional growth through publishing or presentations.
