Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College is seeking a part-time Business Tutor for Westshore Campus to assist students in Business courses through one-on-one and small group sessions, fostering independent learning and helping achieve academic goals. The Tutor will use subject-specific content strategies, coordinate schedules with the department, and maintain accurate records.

Candidates should have an associate’s degree and be able to work flexible days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Education consistent with the department needs & minimum of associate’s degree in related field of study.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-on-one and small group tutoring support.
• Provides subject-specific content strategies, attuned to different learning styles and preferences, to help students understand key concepts learned in class.
• Provides direct assistance in the use of equipment and learning materials needed for student’s success.
• Conducts class visits and assists with publicizing the College’s tutoring services.
• Maintains accurate records in accordance with deadlines.
• Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and according to deadlines.
• Assists with development and maintenance of departmental instructional materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
