Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College is seeking an Accounting Tutor for the Eastern Campus. The role focuses on one-on-one or small group tutoring to help students master Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and CPA review topics.

Ideal candidates will have an associate’s degree in a related field, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to adapt explanations to diverse learners. Flexible schedule supports the department’s needs.

Qualifications

• Education consistent with department needs; minimum of associate’s degree in related field.
• Knowledge and competence in accounting subjects; ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to multitask with different student levels and materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in Accounting topics.
• Support with topics such as ledgers, income taxes, financial statements, cost analysis.
• Maintain records and complete paperwork by deadlines.
• Develop and maintain instructional materials; assist with class visits and publicity.
