Job description
Overview

Location: Anywhere in Country

At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

The Opportunity

As a Project and Program Manager specializing in Business Performance within Transformation Architecture and Delivery, you’ll lead initiatives aligned with strategic goals. Your expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies will ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Clients are seeking a new kind of Transformation Design expert—one who offers strategic guidance, drives product and solution vision, and is deeply involved in delivery and value realization. Traditional providers like strategy firms and systems integrators often fall short of these expectations.

Our integrated capabilities in planning, analysis, and delivery distinguish us from conventional program management. We bridge the gap between strategy and execution by designing frameworks that enable data-driven decisions, optimize commercial transformation, and support value management and complex program structures. With EY’s focus on digital and AI transformation, we’ve embedded technology into our processes to automate tasks and deliver deeper insights.

Key Responsibilities

As a TD&E Manager, you’ll help clients establish Transformation Management Offices (TMO), or Enterprise PMOs (EPMO) using proven frameworks based on global standards. You’ll collaborate with leadership to design and operate business and solution architecture, product management approaches, and value delivery structures, tracking performance and benefits across workstreams.

You’ll manage multiple processes and projects with a focus on quality and risk, including:

  • Driving process improvement and identifying innovative solutions.
  • Leading teams to deliver complex technical initiatives with performance outcomes.
  • Applying expertise to resolve business issues and implement quality solutions.
  • Traveling as needed to meet client requirements.
Skills and Attributes for Success

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Strong management of timelines, costs, and quality.
  • Deep knowledge of project and program delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to mentor others in tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Leadership in planning, execution, and closure of workstreams.
  • Initiative in identifying new service opportunities and leading RFP responses.
  • A collaborative, inclusive approach to team leadership and mentoring.
  • Technical proficiency and business acumen, with a commitment to staying current on industry trends.
  • A focus on quality and risk management, with the ability to lead teams or workstreams depending on engagement size.
  • Understanding of EY’s service lines and ability to identify ways to serve clients.
  • Relationship-building across EY practices to meet client needs.
To Qualify, You Must Have
  • A bachelor’s degree; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Approximately 5+ years of consulting experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm, supporting Business and Solution Architecture, Product and Portfolio Management, and Program Management in areas such as:
  • TMO/VMO/EPMO design and delivery
  • Value and complex product/program roadmapping
  • Maturity assessments
  • End-to-end ERP or AI/Data Fabric implementations
  • Proven success leading workstreams or consulting teams.
  • Experience supporting pursuit efforts and the full RFP lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with change management and delivery methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and digital fluency.
  • Experience in program structuring, governance, and project management tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license and passport, with willingness to travel (estimated at 80%).
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Systems, Engineering, Economics, or Business.
  • Certifications such as CPA, PMP, Six Sigma, or SAP Solution Manager.
  • Sector experience in industries such as Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), Private Equity (PE), Industrials and Energy, including Oil, Gas and Chemicals and Power and Utilities (P&U), Media & Entertainment, Consumer and Health including Health, Life Sciences, or Consumer Products and Retail
  • Effective change management and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth sector knowledge to provide valuable insights.
