Position Overview

Are you a finance professional who can take ownership, bring structure to complex processes, and turn data into actionable insights?

International Motors in Woodridge, IL, is looking for a Business Transformation Financial Consultant to help establish and manage the facility's budgeting process while driving financial visibility, accountability, and operational improvement.

This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to build and shape processes from the ground up. You'll take ownership of departmental and facility-level budgeting, including budget development, tracking, forecasting, and reporting throughout the year. You'll work closely with Operations and Finance leaders to monitor spending, identify variances, and provide clear insights into financial performance.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and taking initiative without needing step-by-step direction. You'll have cross-functional support, but the ability to bring structure, establish processes, and drive results will be essential to your success.

If you combine strong budgeting and accounting knowledge with advanced reporting skills in Power BI and Excel, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact on how our Woodridge facility plans, manages, and measures its financial performance.

Responsibilities
  • Own the Budgeting Process: Establish, organize, and manage the Woodridge facility's budgeting process, including budget development, planning, tracking, and ongoing management throughout the year.
  • Monitor Financial Performance: Track budgets against actual spending, analyze variances, identify potential risks or opportunities, and provide regular updates on financial status to support informed decision-making.
  • Build Reporting and Visibility: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and tracking tools using Power BI, Excel, and other reporting solutions to improve visibility into budgets, expenses, and key financial metrics.
  • Manage Financial Planning: Partner with Operations and Finance to support forecasting, financial planning, and the development of the site's long-term capital investment plan.
  • Apply Accounting Expertise: Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities, support accurate financial reporting, and maintain fixed asset integrity and compliance.
  • Translate Data into Insights: Analyze financial and operational information, explain key trends and variances, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Identify gaps in existing financial processes and develop practical, standardized approaches that improve budget management, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Take Initiative and Build Structure: Navigate ambiguity, establish effective processes, and independently drive deliverables forward while collaborating with stakeholders and leveraging available support.
  • Support Business Decisions: Evaluate financial business cases and capital investment requests to help ensure resources are aligned with business priorities and operational needs.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of finance experience

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of finance experience

OR

  • At least 5 years of finance experience
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Hands-on experience developing, managing, and tracking budgets and finances for a department, business unit, facility, or group. Able to establish a structured budget process and monitor performance throughout the year.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, expense tracking, and financial controls.
  • Independence and Ownership: Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities with limited day-to-day guidance. Comfortable making progress without having every step defined.
  • Power BI and Reporting: Experience building reports, dashboards, and financial tracking tools in Power BI, Excel, or other reporting platforms. Able to turn complex data into clear, useful information.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze financial results, investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: Able to build processes from the ground up, organize unstructured information, and adapt as priorities and needs evolve.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and partner effectively with Operations, Finance, and leadership.
  • Financial Accuracy and Accountability: Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to accurate reporting, financial discipline, and compliance.
