Job summary

Metis is seeking a Business Test Analyst in Roanoke, VA to join our team. You will develop and execute test plans, coordinate UAT, and ensure requirements are clear and testable.

The role involves hands-on testing, defect tracking, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver quality software solutions. Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in analysis or testing, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and experience with Azure DevOps, SQL, APIs, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, IS, CS, PM or related field preferred or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in business analysis, software testing, QA, or related field preferred.
• Experience developing test cases, supporting UAT, or documenting requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, scripts, and expected results.
• Participate in defect review, triage, and escalation as experience grows.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure requirements are clear, complete, and testable.
• Translate requirements into testing scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain testing metrics, reports, and quality sign-offs.
• Perform manual functional and regression testing for systems, changes, and fixes.
• Record results, defects, and unusual behavior for troubleshooting.
• Coordinate and support UAT, including test plans and cycles with business users.
