If you are highly motivated with business tax preparation experience and excellent communication skills, we need you to assist our customers in completing their taxes using TurboTax Business products.

The successful candidate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. Candidates should have strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations, with significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.

What you'll bring

• At least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season, using commercial tax software.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 returns per year, preferred.
• Availability to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days.
• Bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry clients is preferred.
• Ability to obtain necessary state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Active PTIN required.
• Knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficiency with technology and software.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable internet connection meeting security criteria.
• Reside in the United States.

How you will lead

• This is a virtual, customer-facing role using our video software (Smartlook).
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with:
• Tax advice, full-service return preparation, software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing extensions.
• Create high-quality customer interactions demonstrating empathy and expertise.
• Leverage resources and team knowledge to provide accurate answers.
• Follow company policies and document interactions.
• Meet performance metrics and participate in projects as needed.
