If you are a highly motivated individual with business tax preparation experience and excellent communication skills, we need you to help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax Business products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns, as well as significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.

What you'll bring

• Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws as evidenced by 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season, using commercial tax software.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting, strongly preferred.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
• Bookkeeping experience related to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry clients is strongly preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain any necessary state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficiency with technology, including computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection meeting Intuit's security standards.
• Must reside in the United States.

How you will lead

• This is a virtual, customer-facing role utilizing our state-of-the-art video communication software (Smartlook) to interact with customers.
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with:
• Tax advice
• Full service business return preparation and signing
• Product/software inquiries
• Tax calculations
• Filing tax extensions
• Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence through deep empathy and expertise in business tax preparation and bookkeeping.
• Leverage government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers using accessible language.
• Apply company practices, procedures, and policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries.
• Document customer interactions thoroughly.
• Work towards meeting key performance metrics and company goals.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and validation efforts as needed.
