The Business Systems Engineer supports the analysis, enhancement, implementation, and optimization of business applications and related processes across assigned functional areas. This role partners with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to evaluate requirements, troubleshoot moderately complex system and process issues, support solution design, and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, data quality, controls, and user experience.
Gather and analyze business requirements, assess impacts, and recommend system solutions aligned with business objectives.
Translate business needs into functional requirements, process improvements, and solution designs.
Support application configuration, enhancements, integrations, and implementations in partnership with technical teams and vendors.
Contribute to release planning, testing, deployment activities, and process optimization.
Validate system changes through testing, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and support ongoing application maintenance.
Monitor system performance and data quality to identify improvement opportunities.
Maintain project and support documentation, communicate status and risks, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
