Job summary

PDI Technologies is seeking a Senior Salesforce expert to join our Business Systems team as a Developer III. You will design, develop, and optimize scalable Salesforce solutions and integrated enterprise systems, partnering with stakeholders to translate complex needs into effective technical designs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Salesforce development experience or equivalent
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II preferred
• Additional Salesforce certifications such as Advanced Administrator, App Builder, Service Cloud Consultant, or Integration Architect preferred
• Strong experience with .NET, Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, ETL tools, or event-driven integration approaches

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support scalable Salesforce solutions and related business systems
• Lead complex integrations between Salesforce and ERP, marketing automation, data warehouses, and third-party SaaS apps
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and production support for Salesforce apps and integrations

Role Overview

As a Business Systems Developer III, you will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for developing, administering, and optimizing scalable Salesforce solutions that support business-critical operations and integrated enterprise systems. You will bring advanced expertise across Salesforce development, administration, automation, integrations, governance, and production support while partnering directly with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions. You will also provide technical guidance to other team members and help strengthen the scalability, reliability, and effectiveness of the Business Systems environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support scalable Salesforce solutions and related business systems.
• Serve as a senior Salesforce technical resource across security models, profiles, permission sets, role hierarchies, sharing rules, queues, public groups, and data governance.
• Design and optimize Salesforce automation using Flow Builder, validation rules, approval processes, and other platform capabilities.
• Lead complex integrations between Salesforce and enterprise platforms, including ERP, marketing automation, data warehouses, and third-party SaaS applications.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, debugging, and production support for Salesforce applications and integrations.
• Partner with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements, define solutions, estimate effort, and prioritize enhancements.
• Lead Salesforce release management activities, including deployments, sandbox management, DevOps processes, and CI/CD practices.
• Maintain data quality and governance standards, including deduplication, data imports and exports, and audit requirements.
• Contribute to Salesforce development standards, coding practices, and platform governance to support consistent and scalable solutions.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to developers, administrators, and other team members.
• Monitor platform performance, storage, security, and system health and proactively recommend improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, process flows, support documentation, and training materials.
• Support broader business initiatives, including process optimization, system integration, mergers and acquisitions, and digital transformation.
• Stay current on Salesforce releases, emerging technologies, and industry practices and identify opportunities to continuously improve the environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Salesforce development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II certification preferred.
• Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Advanced Administrator, App Builder, Service Cloud Consultant, or Integration Architect, preferred.
• Strong experience with .NET, Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Flow, declarative automation, and platform configuration.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, ETL tools, or event‑driven integration approaches.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security, governance, sharing models, and compliance practices.
• Experience with DevOps tools, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to independently manage complex technical issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Experience working in Agile environments and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong foundation in software engineering concepts, including object‑oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and system integrations.
• Experience with NetSuite, ERP integrations, Salesforce CPQ, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, or similar enterprise platforms is preferred.
• Experience supporting global business operations and cross‑functional business process optimization is preferred.
