Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst - Registrar Systems manages, configures, and maintains registrar-related systems, including Ellucian Banner and DegreeWorks. This role acts as a bridge between technology and business processes, collaborating with IT, Business Operations, and stakeholders to define requirements, implement solutions, and conduct testing. The analyst also supports Institutional Support Services by managing system updates, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance to ensure efficiency and compliance with academic policies.

Responsibilities

1. Administer, configure, and maintain Banner, DegreeWorks, and other registrar systems.
2. Manage program and course configurations, including new codes, courses, prerequisites, and equivalencies.
3. Update and maintain student degree audits using Banner CAPP and DegreeWorks Program Progress Guides (Scribe), creating or modifying program codes based on business needs.
4. Perform daily and scheduled maintenance, meet SLAs, and record updates in Salesforce CRM.
5. Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to improve stability.
6. Oversee system updates, validate enhancements, and integrate new functionalities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
7. Provide technical support for system errors affecting degree audits, supporting advising, admissions, and academic teams.
8. Identify opportunities for system improvements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
9. Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to enhance system performance and integrate new features.
10. Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, requirements, policies, and procedures.
11. Participate in project planning, change management, and ensure compliance with policies and audits.
12. Follow best practices for documentation, data security, and quality assurance.
13. Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably with Banner, DegreeWorks, or similar systems.
• Experience in higher education and student information system support.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with degree audits and scripting in DegreeWorks Scribe is preferred.
• Proficiency in Salesforce CRM.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and adapt to changing needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Additional Information
