Job summary

Travis County is seeking a Business Analyst I to provide routine technical consulting and support for business processes. You will work with department management to define problems and requirements and collaborate with IT on technical solutions.

The role involves assisting with applications, testing, documentation, and training, with potential for flexible scheduling to meet department needs. A Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a directly related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine technical consulting and support for defining, developing and improving functional or business processes.
• Acts as liaison between department users and IT to provide technical solutions.
• Assists with application testing, training and maintenance.
• Participates in cross-functional project teams and coordinates software development activities.
• Interfaces with ITS for network administration and hardware/software support.
• Creates and maintains department databases, reports and documentation.
