Qualifications

• Requires 4-5+ years as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in data-centric environments.
• Strong documentation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Blend of technical acumen, analytical ability, and business communication.
• Experience with ITAM/ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) helpful.
• Active Top Secret Clearance required.

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Business Systems Analyst. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

The position our client's information system lifecycle management, including the retirement of information systems in compliance with legal, records, and other data requirements. This position will routinely provide customer service to technical and general users as well as a wide array of general analysis, problem solving, judgment, communication, and planning skills to collect/document/assess user requirements, formulate recommendations, and implement solutions that include enterprise-level communication artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Elicits requirements and supports the design, implementation, and day-to-day operations of a modern enterprise technology asset inventory integrating Asset Management and Service Management practices.
• Maintains both new and legacy technology inventory platforms by tracking assets, supporting lifecycle processes, curating data, and implementing QA, data quality controls, and data‑integrity routines.
• Conducts basic analysis of technology inventory data, develops and reports KPIs, and provides insights or recommendations to improve accuracy, usability, and decision‑readiness.
• Serves as a liaison with stakeholders, assisting users with technical and program inquiries and gathering evolving needs for system enhancements.
• Develops and updates relevant documentation, SOPs, workflows, standards, guides, and training materials
• Collaborates closely across teams to support BI enablement, data standardization, and any technology inventory‑related BI reporting

Qualifications

• Candidatesmusthave4-5+yearsofexperienceasaBusinessAnalystorSystemsAnalystindata- centricenvironments.
• Strong documentation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills required.
• A blend of technical acumen, analytical ability, and business communication skills is essential
• Some experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITAM/ITSM platform would be helpful.
• Familiarity with governance frameworks is also beneficial
• Active Top Secret Clearance is required
• The willingness and ability to work on site, in Washington DC, five days a week is required.
