Job summary

PayneCrest Electric, Inc. in Saint Louis, Missouri is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the administration, review, and management of construction contracts and related project documentation.

The role partners with software developers and business analysts to design, develop, and support data-driven solutions, with a focus on data integration, Power BI reporting, SQL development, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, application support, or development.
• Strong experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience working with developers in application development environments.
• Intermediate knowledge of Python with ability to develop or modify simple code.
• Functional understanding of APIs, data integration, and ETL processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, data models, data security and connections.
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extracts.
• Work closely with developers to design, test, and implement application enhancements.
• Analyze data sources, identify data quality issues, and support data governance efforts.
• Develop simple code, scripts, and automated solutions to improve business processes.
• Assist with system integrations, data mapping, and API-based data exchanges.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for application and reporting issues.
• Participate in technical design discussions and solution development.
• Perform unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for reports, data flows, and system processes.
• Support Power Platform solutions including Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.

We are seeking aBusiness Systems Analyst to support the administration, review, and management of construction contracts and related project documentation. The Business Systems Analyst partners with software developers and business analyst teams to design, develop, and support data-driven solutions. This role focuses on data integration, Power BI reporting and data management, SQL development, and technical analysis while assisting with application enhancements and process automation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, data models, data security and connections.

PREFERRED QULAIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure data and analytics tools.
• Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience with cloud-based forms software such as Cognito Forms.
• Experience with Trimble/Vista ERP.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience supporting financial or operational reporting systems.
