Forbes Solicitors LLP is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join the IT team at Gordon House Office. This full-time role (36.25 hours/week, Monday to Friday) focuses on understanding how people work, solving business challenges through technology and driving meaningful improvements.

You will partner with departments to identify opportunities, gather requirements and deliver tech-enabled solutions that enhance processes and system value.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across the Firm to understand processes and opportunities for improvement.
• Gather, analyse and document business requirements to support technology solutions.
• Conduct process reviews, workflow analysis and mapping to identify efficiencies.
• Support design, testing, implementation and adoption of systems and solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to deliver change initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation using Microsoft 365.
• Support user adoption through training and guidance materials.
• Act as a trusted advisor to departments ensuring systems evolve with business needs.

The Role

Forbes Solicitors LLP are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our growing IT team at our Gordon House Office. This role is full time, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Working across the Firm, you'll partner with departments to understand challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and help deliver technology-enabled solutions that make a real difference to colleagues and clients. You'll play a key role in improving business processes, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring the Firm maximises value from its business systems and technology investments.

This role would suit candidates from applications support, business systems, helpdesk, business analysis or process improvement backgrounds who are looking to develop their skills within a forward-thinking legal environment.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving successful outcomes such as:

• Partner with stakeholders across the Firm to understand business processes, challenges and opportunities for improvement.

• Support user adoption through training, knowledge sharing, guidance materials and continuous improvement activities.

The Person

We will be progressing applicants to the next stage based on their demonstrated knowledge, experience, and skills in:

Essential

• Experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Applications Analyst, Process Improvement or similar role.
• Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements.
• Experience working with stakeholders across multiple departments to identify and deliver improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Good Microsoft 365 knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Alignment with the Firm's values.

Desirable

• Relevant IT, Business Analysis or technical qualifications.
• Microsoft, Power Platform or related certifications.
• Experience within a legal or professional services environment.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, business change or process improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to workflow automation, testing and user acceptance activities.
