This role leads diverse administrative functions for a large, complex department national in scope. Functions include leading intake, governance and capacity planning processes. Key responsibilities include oversight and management of change standards, and serving as the liaison for the business. It involves conducting peer review of inflight projects, providing coaching and guidance, and supporting project leads/change initiative owners through change management rigor to project execution. The role partners across internal teams and with other FLUs to support cross-team collaboration. It may lead projects/initiatives from beginning to end as needed. It consults with senior management in evaluating and developing strategies to implement change and process improvements. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit’s functional area and knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures.
Leads the intake and governance process, ensuring adherence to change standards
Performs ongoing monitoring of project controls and evidence to ensure proper documentation
Holistic review of all projects to ensure capacity expectations are adhered to
Ensures timely execution of project governance activities including review of project workbook, folders, and mid-point assessment
Leads monthly Governance Review for the organization
Monitors project deliverable dates and ensures timely scheduling and delivery of key milestones/readiness to meet launch dates
Effectively escalate items that may negatively impact controls, change management expectations or deliverable timelines
Lead cross-team collaboration within the team and with other FLUs
Drive Operational Excellence to improve effectiveness and efficiency
Demonstrate deep process knowledge and innovation through a focus on simplification and continuous improvement
Effective communicator within team, with senior leaders and enterprise partners—connecting to strategy, priorities and growth enablement
Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with key business partners

5+ years in a business control, business management, operations, or related functions in large-scale businesses

Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or for a complete line of business that may be regional or national in scope, often requiring associates in one or more location. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit’s functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. Generally has full management responsibility over a relatively large team and may manage one or more levels of managers. Leads the support/administrative functions for a somewhat large department usually at a local level. Responsibilities may include budget analysis and recommendations, operations analysis, identification and resolution of work flow issues, associate training, service quality, process improvement. Resolves personnel, audit and/or budget issues by researching and analyzing unusual problems, administers bank programs and policies and provides interpretation to department. Requires an in-depth knowledge of bank policies and programs and of the department’s functional operations. May direct workflow activities.
