Job summary

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is seeking a Business Support Analyst - Energy Efficiency to support residential energy efficiency rebate programs and data-driven program design.

You will perform quantitative/qualitative analysis, manage database systems, and assist with budgeting, planning, and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive effective energy solutions for customers.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business, economics, finance, or related field with 3 years of quantitative/qualitative analysis experience.
  • Experience querying, analyzing, and reporting with relational database systems.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem solving, writing, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides application maintenance, troubleshooting, and training for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Inputs data and evaluates outputs from departmental modeling tools; leads analyses.
  • Performs ad-hoc data analyses and follows up with recommendations.
  • Coordinates data requests from internal/external sources such as audits or filings.
  • Supports department initiatives, new analyses, and process improvement as needed.
  • May lead project teams on related business initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PSE's Customer Energy Mgmt & Renewable team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Business Support Analyst - Energy Efficiency position!

Job Description

The Business Support Analyst - Energy Efficiency performs a variety of quantitative/qualitative analysis, as well as reporting, to support PSE's residential energy efficiency rebate programs. Provides technical support and consultation for a variety of database systems used throughout the department. Participants in relevant program planning exercises including goal setting, budget planning, market research, evaluation activities, and business case development to support the strategic design and delivery of energy programs to PSE customers. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in order to better serve our customers through data-driven insights and innovative program support. Additionally, supports efforts around program marketing and outreach campaigns for successful customer engagement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides related application maintenance, troubleshooting, and training for internal and external stakeholders when necessary. Assists with application system implementation, testing and/or upgrades as appropriate (may include coding and scripting).
  • Inputs data and evaluates the output from departmental modeling tools, benchmarking comparisons and performance reporting. Initiates, leads and performs analysis; provides/presents recommendations.
  • Provides ad-hoc data analysis, which may include research and review of issues, and follow-on response.
  • Coordinates and supports data requests from internal or external sources (such as compliance, audits, government filings, etc)
  • Assists with departmental initiatives, new analysis development and process improvement, on an as-needed basis.
  • May lead project teams on various related business initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in business, economics, finance, or related, and 3 years experience in quantitative/ qualitative analysis; or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Experience working with relational database systems (querying, analysis, reporting).
  • Strong computer skill utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts.
  • Excellent writing, communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize assignments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Related business-specific experience may include:
    • Advanced relational database familiarity (MS Access, SQL, Oracle).
    • Familiarity with CSEE Systems (CSY, CLX, CMS).
    • Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
    • Knowledge of programming language (Visual Basic, SQL, VB.NET, HTML).
    • Knowledge of rate-making process.
    • Familiarity with SAP, BI, PACE.
  • Process documentation and improvement experience.

The pay range for this position is$72,700.00-$103,300.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
