Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Business Support Analyst for the Customer Energy Management & Renewables team to perform diverse data analysis, reporting, and technical support for database systems. You will support energy-efficiency rebate programs for small businesses, perform data quality checks, invoicing, and develop Power BI dashboards, file maintenance, and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field and 3 years of experience in quantitative/qualitative analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience working with relational database systems (querying, analysis, reporting).
  • Strong computer skills using the MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Input data and evaluate outputs from departmental modeling tools, benchmarking comparisons, and performance reporting.
  • Initiate, lead, and perform analysis; provide and present recommendations.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis, including research and issue review, and follow-up responses.
  • Coordinate and support data requests from internal or external sources (e.g., compliance, audits, government filings).
  • Assist with departmental initiatives, new analysis development, and process improvement as needed.
  • Organize and provide updates for external databases.
  • QC the data accuracy for uploads and process corresponding invoices.
  • Lead project teams on related business initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Business Support Analyst – Customer Energy Management & Renewables

PSE's Customer Energy Management & Renewables team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Business Support Analyst position.

Job Summary

Perform a variety of quantitative/qualitative analysis, reporting, and technical support for database systems used throughout the department. Support energy‑efficiency rebate programs for small‑business customers, providing data quality checks, invoicing, Power BI dashboards, file maintenance, database updates, reporting, and process improvement.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Input data and evaluate outputs from departmental modeling tools, benchmarking comparisons, and performance reporting.
  • Initiate, lead, and perform analysis; provide and present recommendations.
  • Provide ad‑hoc data analysis, including research and issue review, and follow‑up responses.
  • Coordinate and support data requests from internal or external sources (e.g., compliance, audits, government filings).
  • Assist with departmental initiatives, new analysis development, and process improvement as needed.
  • Organize and provide updates for external databases.
  • QC the data accuracy for uploads and process corresponding invoices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field and 3 years of experience in quantitative/qualitative analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience working with relational database systems (querying, analysis, reporting).
  • Strong computer skills using the MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).

  • Advanced relational database familiarity (MS Access, SQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with CSEE Systems (CSY, CLX, CMS).
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Visual Basic, SQL, VB.NET, HTML).
  • Knowledge of the rate‑making process.
  • Familiarity with SAP, BI, PACE.
  • Process documentation and improvement experience.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $67,800.00 – $96,400.00. Eligible for annual goal‑based incentive bonuses.
