Job summary

USAA seeks an analytics leader to guide quantitative and qualitative analyses shaping industry trends, market developments, and strategic direction. You will lead discussions with executives and translate findings into actionable strategies influencing product, pricing, marketing, and risk decisions.

You will develop analytical frameworks, mentor staff, and partner with leaders to improve profitability and member experience while upholding risk and compliance policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education/experience.
8 years of data/analytics or strategy consulting experience; or 6+ years with up to 2 years of related business experience.
Experience identifying business needs and developing strategic plans driven by analysis.
Experience influencing leadership and developing opportunities to enhance business strategy.
Experience with qualitative/quantitative analytics and market insights.
Extensive experience leading complex data analysis.

Responsibilities

Job description

Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide thought-leadership on industry trends, market developments, USAA's strategic direction, regulatory environment, and macroeconomic trends
Provide insights and information-based context for key stakeholders to manage, influence, and impact line of business strategy
Lead discussions with key stakeholders, communicate analytical findings, provide input into strategy development, and drive business decisions
Lead integration of analytic strategy and business strategy
Identify business assumptions and hypotheses around line of business strategy; refine hypotheses and identify questions for further exploration
Develop analytical frameworks and blueprints to answer business questions
Support lower-level team members in developing analytical frameworks
Collaborate with stakeholders to uncover strategic insights related to Profit & Loss performance, Product Strategy, Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Credit Risk, Distribution Channels, and Member Experience
Apply analytical rigor to define outcome measures, improve prioritization and decision-making agility, evaluate progress toward business outcomes, and assess risks to strategic goals
Influence and drive strategic agreement using subject matter expertise, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Serve as a team lead and provide guidance and on-the-job training
Ensure risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics or related field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
8 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience; OR a minimum of 6 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience and up to 2 years of progressive functional business relevant experience for a total of 8 years of combined experience; OR Advanced Degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics or related discipline and 6 years of experience in data and/or analytics or strategy consulting
Experience identifying business needs and developing strategic plans driven by qualitative/quantitative analysis and market insights
Experience working with leadership teams to identify key opportunities to develop and enhance business strategy using quantitative and qualitative analytics
Experience influencing business decisions
Strong analytical skills with experience using hypotheses-driven problem solving
Extensive experience leading and performing complex data analysis using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, SAS, or Adobe Analytics
Experience creating and delivering actionable insights derived from member feedback and Voice of Customer (VoC) CX survey measurement programs
Deep knowledge of enterprise survey feedback programs measuring product, channel, and experience satisfaction and loyalty, including Member Satisfaction, First Contact Resolution (FCR), Customer Effort Score (CES), NPS, and other key performance indicators
Ability to develop analytical frameworks linking member feedback data with operational metrics
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate data and trends into digestible narratives
Ability to act as a subject matter expert for member feedback survey program data and survey design
US military experience gained through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner
Must not require visa sponsorship or immigration support
