Required: Minimum bachelor’s degree in either accounting, finance, economics, engineering or business.
Required: 2 years of relevant work experience in utility business operations or functional responsibilities (e.g. research, data analysis, financial analysis, strategy development) or related energy industry and/or regulatory policy issues with a basic understanding of utility operations and planning functions
Preferred: Graduate-level business degree from an accredited university is beneficial for future progression
Required: Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Proficiency with business productivity and collaboration tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and related applications. Analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to collect, validate, analyze, summarize, and present data and information. Ability to research and synthesize information from regulatory filings, financial reports, industry publications, and other sources while maintaining accurate documentation and citations. Ability to effectively leverage AI-enabled tools and digital technologies to improve research, analysis, content development, productivity, and decision support, while applying appropriate judgment, validation, and data governance practices. Developing strategic thinking skills, including the ability to understand business issues, identify trends, and recognize potential business implications. Working knowledge of project management principles, including the ability to plan and execute assigned work activities and support project delivery. Demonstrated initiative and self-direction, with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks under appropriate direction. Ability to support the development of business, financial, operational, and strategic analyses and recommendations. Ability to collaborate effectively across business functions and contribute to team objectives.
Preferred: Working knowledge of the electric utility industry, including utility operations, regulatory constructs, financial drivers, and key performance indicators.
