Job summary

UCLA Outpatient Clinics seeks a Business Solutions Architect to design and deliver BI and analytics solutions for managed care decisions across UCLA Health’s Faculty Practice Group.

You will partner with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to develop dashboards, reports, and data solutions using Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Tableau, Power BI and SQL-based reporting. Proficiency in Python and ML-enabled insights is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering dashboards and analytics in healthcare or managed care settings.
• Proficiency with Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Tableau and Power BI in large data environments.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Python for data transformation, automation and advanced analytics workflows.

Overview

The Business Solutions Architect designs and delivers business intelligence and analytics solutions that support Managed Care related operational and strategic decision-making across UCLA Health’s Faculty Practice Group. This role will be working closely with the Managed Care Department. This role partners with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to develop dashboards, reports, applied AI and data solutions using Epic Clarity, Tableau, Power BI, and SQL-based reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex dashboards, reports, and data extracts using Tableau, Power BI, Epic Clarity, and Caboodle.
• Leverage Python for data transformation, automation, and advanced analytics workflows
• Integrate LLM-based capabilities for summarization, classification, and insight generation (e.g., call center analytics, CRM insights)
• Analyze healthcare and managed care data, including claims, authorizations, and provider data, to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Partner with business and clinical stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• The position applies advanced knowledge of enterprise analytics tools and healthcare data models, including Epic Clarity, to deliver scalable and reliable reporting solutions.
• Perform data validation, quality assurance testing, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of reporting outputs.
• Monitor and optimize reporting performance while resolving complex data and system issues.
• Support cross-functional analytics initiatives by providing insights, documentation, and end-user guidance related to reporting and data interpretation.

Salary Range: $95,400 - $208,300/year
