Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest-level member service and deliver the best possible experience for members.
  • Be the primary contact for business deposit relationships and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Promote online banking, RDC, ACH origination, and other cash-management services.
  • Assist in expanding business services and establishing merchant relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures.
  • Respond to member inquiries, problems, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Job description

Builds and broadens member relationships through needs-based cross-selling in a sales and service culture. Interacts with members for deposit product and service needs. Performs administrative functions related to deposit and services. Responds to and resolves/satisfies member inquiries, requests, problems and complaints accurately and timely. Creates sales plans in support of production goal attainment. Maintains a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with members and co-workers. Maintains current knowledge and complies with Credit Union policies and procedures. Perform duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Provides the highest-level member service and best possible experience for existing and prospective Business Members.
  • Primary contact for business deposit relationships.
  • Act as a trusted financial partner by maintaining a visible presence within the business community and responding promptly to member needs through both in-office and on-site service visits.
  • Open new Business and Consumer memberships and additional accounts in compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures and in support of the Credit Union’s sales and service culture.
  • Assists Business Members with Online Banking, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), ACH Origination, and other cash management services, providing training and support as needed.
  • Promotes adoption and utilization of electronic business services, including online banking, ACH services, remote deposit capture, wire transfers, and other digital payment solutions.
  • Attends business networking events and community activities to promote the Credit Union and develop business relationships.
  • Participates in business development and sales-calling activities to solicit new deposit relationships and expand existing relationships through appropriate cross-selling opportunities
  • Assist in expanding Business Services including but not limited to introducing new products, maintaining competitive business deposit accounts and establishing third party relationships for merchant services.
  • Responsible for complying with the Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures, including attendance at annual training, as directed by the Bank Secrecy Act Officer.
  • Responds to member problems and/or complaints appropriately and request assistance as needed to resolve problems and acknowledge and respond to complaints.
  • Maintains a professional and courteous manner with members and co-workers in all interactions.
  • Performs notary duties, if applicable, in compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Works in the spirit of the credit union’s purpose and values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure continuity of office operation and efficiency.

Education/Certification

High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college courses in business, communications, or related field is a plus.

Required Experience

Up to five years of experience in financial institution or similar, preferably in business deposit accounts. Previous work experience in a bank or credit union dealing directly with commercial clients opening business related deposit accounts

Required Knowledge

Knowledge of Credit Union deposit products and services and governing Credit Union policies and procedures.

Skills/Abilities

Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Efficiency with multi-tasking and organization is required to be successful in this role. Must have excellent typing and calculator skills. Ability to operate a personal computer, including full working knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Office and other job-related software.
