Job summary

Position Summary

Responsible for businessdevelopment calls on existing customers and prospect for new customersrelationships to grow cash management services and consumer and commercialloans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador to the bank, matching products andservices to customer needs, building relationships with existing customers, andprospecting for new customers. Requires the employee to be a self-starter anddriven to achieve established goals.
• Serve as primary contact in responding to customer andnon-customer inquiries relative to loan and deposit products, rates,procedures, etc.
• Be proficient in the following products and servicesapplicable to business services, including but not limited to:
  • Business DDAs
  • Corporate and Personal Sweep Analyses/Proposals
  • BoB/Bill Payment
  • HSAs
  • Merchant Capture
  • Payroll Cards
  • Positive Pay
  • Web ACH Editor
• Demonstrateknowledge of Bank loan products and services including real estate,construction and development, working capital lines, equipment, and vehicle.
• Interview loanapplicants and request required information for determining a credit decision.
• Conduct creditanalysis to support granting loan approval within assigned lending authority orprior to requesting approval from a co-approving officer.
• Compile loanpackage and facilitate negotiation of loan structure with applicant, includingfees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms.
• Ensure loanagreements and other pertinent documentation are complete and accurateaccording to policy.
• Prepare andpresent comprehensive sales proposals, RFPs, and presentations to clients andprospects in addition to participating in and leading product training forvarious audiences.
• Assume ownershipof customer problems to achieve resolution.
• Identify productimprovements and solutions by communicating client and prospect needs, and byparticipating in the development of new services or modifications to existingservices. products and services as appropriate for customer requirements.
• Identify andanalyze potential loan markets to develop commercial and consumer loan anddeposit prospects.
• Follow bank policies and procedures, securityguidelines, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations. Includes coordinating with legal counsel andbank operating departments to ensure adherence to laws and regulations relatingto new and/or revised bank products and services.
• Support the activities of the assigned banking officeincluding consulting with tellers and customer service representatives andgranting officer approval of transactions as appropriate.
• Promote business for the Bank by maintaining goodcustomer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services using Bank-endorsed techniques and processes.
• Support the Bank’s CRA Officer by reporting CRA data.
• Engage in community involvement and civic activitiesand, at times, take a leadership role in such organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years of relatedexperience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to compute basic to moderately complex mathcalculations.
• Basic problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
