Deutsche Bank is seeking a Business Risk Control Analyst in Mumbai to strengthen governance, regulatory reporting, and risk controls for the Private Bank. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, issue tracking, and remediation of control gaps, while advancing regulatory compliance across global franchises.

The role requires a University degree, strong English communication, and experience in governance and risk management within financial services.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, control environments, attestation processes, and risk management practices.
  • Proven experience in Regulatory Reporting, Governance, Risk Control, Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit, or Financial Services Operations.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations within banking/financial services.
  • Experience on small to medium scale projects in a global environment.
  • Experience in preparing management information reports and presenting governance metrics to stakeholders.
  • University degree.

Responsibilities

  • Support Regulatory Reporting and COI governance activities across the Private Bank.
  • Maintain Regulatory Reporting inventories, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely updates.
  • Coordinate local/global attestations, annual self-assessments, and control reviews.
  • Support identification, assessment, escalation, management, and monitoring of Conflicts of Interest.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on regulatory reporting and conflict management requirements.
  • Execute periodic controls to validate governance frameworks and policies.
  • Track governance issues, control gaps, and remediation actions for timely resolution.
  • Prepare and analyse Management Information (MI) reports, dashboards, and governance metrics for senior management.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and governance forums through accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to strengthen governance, controls, and regulatory compliance.

Team Insights

The team is part of the Team ‘Business Risk Controls (BRC)’. The PB BRC guards the “Protect” agenda by overseeing operational risks, conduct control topics and regulatory changes. The team works across global PB franchise delivering complex key risk and control agenda, adding value for the Business to reduce complexity and enhance controls. The team works with cross-functional and global teams, collaborating with multiple stakeholders globally across the bank.

Your key responsibilities
  • Support Regulatory Reporting and Conflict of Interest (COI) governance activities across the Private Bank.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to stakeholders on regulatory reporting and conflict management requirements.

  • Prepare and analyse Management Information (MI) reports, dashboards, and governance metrics for senior management.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and governance forums through accurate reporting and documentation.

Your skills and experience

Education Experience: Knowledge of governance frameworks, control environments, attestation processes, and risk management practices.

Proven experience in Regulatory Reporting, Governance, Risk Control, Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit, or Financial Services Operations.

Understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations within the banking or financial services industry.

Experience working on small to medium scale projects within global environment.

Experience in preparing management information reports and presenting governance metrics to stakeholders.

University degree.

Competencies
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and generate meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Experience managing inventories, governance records, and control documentation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting processes and conflict management frameworks is advantageous.
  • Excellent English language command (written and spoken skills) with a strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
