Job Description

You are customer-focused, enjoy building relationships, and providing financial advice to your clients. A role as a Business Relationship Manager is for you.

As a Business Relationship Manager II (BRM) in Business Banking, you’ll help improve the lives of clients and their businesses through financial solutions, education, and advice. You’ll manage a portfolio of new and existing business clients by building relationships and providing financial advice, focusing on client experience and risk management.

Responsibilities
  1. Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70–90 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million for your assigned branches; provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage credit opportunities up to approximately $1.5 million.
  2. Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing comprehensive and customized business banking solutions tailored to their financial needs.
  3. Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that serve the client and ensure portfolio profitability.
  4. Conduct in-person calls with prospects, COIs, and existing clients at their places of business. Follow a disciplined relationship development process, identifying strategies to maintain and build relationships, and review strategies regularly with your manager.
  5. Identify and pursue potential new business clients, cultivating long-term banking relationships.
  6. Identify clients' personal financial goals and needs; collaborate with partners across lines of business to connect clients with specialists who can meet their financial needs.
  7. Support your assigned branches actively, follow sound risk management protocols, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business Banking Relationship Management or related business lending.
  • Knowledge of business credit, core business products, and practices, with understanding of industry-specific needs.
  • Strong communication skills to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to balance client needs with risks and recognize issues for escalation or independent handling.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong existing business network.
