As a Business Relationship Manager II (BRM) in Business Banking, you’ll help improve the lives of clients and their businesses through financial solutions, education, and advice. You’ll manage a portfolio of new and existing business clients by building relationships and providing financial advice, focusing on client experience and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70–90 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million for your assigned branches; provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage credit opportunities up to approximately $1.5 million.
- Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing comprehensive and customized business banking solutions tailored to their financial needs.
- Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that serve the client and ensure portfolio profitability.
- Conduct in-person calls with prospects, COIs, and existing clients at their places of business. Follow a disciplined relationship development process, identifying strategies to maintain and build relationships, and review strategies regularly with your manager.
- Identify and pursue potential new business clients, cultivating long-term banking relationships.
- Identify clients' personal financial goals and needs; collaborate with partners across lines of business to connect clients with specialists who can meet their financial needs.
- Support your assigned branches actively, follow sound risk management protocols, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business Banking Relationship Management or related business lending.
- Knowledge of business credit, core business products, and practices, with understanding of industry-specific needs.
- Strong communication skills to build relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to balance client needs with risks and recognize issues for escalation or independent handling.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong existing business network.
