As a Business Relationship Manager I (BRM) in Business Banking, you'll help improve the lives of our clients and the well-being of their businesses through financial solutions, education, and advice. You will manage a portfolio of new and existing business clients by building relationships and providing financial advice, focusing on client experience and risk management.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 100-130 business clients with annual revenue of $1 - $5 million for your assigned branches; provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000.
  2. Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing comprehensive and customized business banking solutions tailored to their financial needs and circumstances.
  3. Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that serve the client and ensure portfolio profitability.
  4. Conduct regular in-person calls with prospects, centers of influence (COIs), and existing clients at their places of business. Follow a disciplined relationship development process and review strategies with your manager.
  5. Identify and pursue potential new business clients, cultivating long-term, primary banking relationships.
  6. Identify the personal financial goals and needs of business clients; build collaborative relationships with partners across lines of business to connect clients with specialists.
  7. Support your assigned branches actively, follow sound risk management protocols, and adhere to regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience.
  • Knowledge of business credit, core business products and services, and general business practices across industries.
  • Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Ability to balance client needs with associated risks and recognize issues requiring escalation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong current business network.
