Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field; or 4 years of relevant engineering/manufacturing analysis experience.
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in business process engineering or related field; semiconductor/high-volume manufacturing exposure preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex end-to-end process redesigns across multiple functions, systems, value streams, or business units.
  • Develop business cases, financial models, cost-reduction opportunities, benefit-realization plans, and value-tracking mechanisms.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers; promote execution discipline.
  • Collaborate with Operations, IT, Finance, Procurement, Planning, Engineering and other partners.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance across initiatives.

Business Process Engineer III
Job Summary

The Business Process Engineer III leads complex cross-functional business process transformation initiatives across teams, systems, and business units, including the evaluation and integration of manufacturing technologies such as automation, IoT, and robotics. This role owns end-to-end process redesign, establishes scalable practices, develops business cases, and manages dependencies to deliver measurable business value through effective integration of people, process, and technology. Mentors Business Process Engineer I and II team members and helps raise team standards and execution discipline.

Essential Duties
Functional Operations
  • Lead complex end-to-end process redesign efforts across multiple functions, systems, value streams, or business units
  • Define project scope, success criteria, risks, dependencies, and business-value targets for assigned areas
  • Facilitate senior stakeholder alignment on requirements, tradeoffs, operating-model impacts, adoption risks, and decisions
  • Coordinate implementation across Operations, IT, Finance, Procurement, Planning, Engineering, and other business partners
  • Present recommendations, risks, business impact, and implementation status to leadership in a clear, decision-oriented manner
  • Provide technical and process advice on manufacturing systems, data flows, system integrations, automation opportunities, and process capability
  • Lead evaluation and integration of technologies such as IoT, AI/machine learning, robotics, and automation into complex, cross-functional process redesigns
Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop business cases, financial models, cost-reduction opportunities, benefit-realization plans, and value-tracking mechanisms
  • Establish process-control methods, KPIs, dashboards, and escalation paths to sustain improvements
  • Use advanced data analytics and process simulation/modeling tools to derive actionable insights and support decision-making for transformation initiatives
  • Develop strategies to optimize equipment utilization, minimize downtime, and reduce cycle times across multiple functions or value streams
Training & Team Support
  • Coach Business Process Engineer I and II team members on process methods, stakeholder management, analysis quality, and project execution discipline
  • Mentor and conduct hands-on training, providing process guidance and technical support to others at same or lower level within functional area
  • No authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, reward, or discipline other employees
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
  • Resolve cross-functional friction constructively and influence decisions without formal authority
  • Translate complexity into clear business impact for senior stakeholders
Quality, Safety, & Compliance
  • Follow safety, quality, customer, data-handling, and company standards, and establish controls and governance that sustain compliance across assigned initiatives
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related engineering/technical field; OR 4 years of relevant business process engineering or manufacturing analysis experience in lieu of a degree
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related engineering/technical field
Essential Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in business process engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience in semi-conductor, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing field
  • Hands-on experience applying business process analysis tools, including current-state and future-state design, root-cause analysis, business case development, cost-benefit analysis, metrics, and process control and management
  • Ability to plan and deploy complex business process initiatives across multiple functions and stakeholder groups
  • Ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies, and cross-silo redundancies
  • Able to assimilate and correlate disconnected business information and articulate its collective relevance to the organization
  • Able to develop metrics, collect data, and analyze data to identify cause and measure performance against process requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to explain and present technical information
  • Collaborate and work effectively at all levels of the organization and influence others toward consensus
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities
  • Experience evaluating or integrating manufacturing technologies such as automation, IoT, robotics, or AI/machine learning
  • Experience with process simulation/modeling software and data analytics tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification is strongly preferred
  • Resilient, self-motived and able to work well under pressure
  • Experience in high-volume battery manufacturing or a related industrial environment such as electronics, automotive, or energy storage
