Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Process Innovation Specialist to lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives within our Redding, CA operations. You will deconstruct current processes, design future states, and identify opportunities for RPA handoffs to developers.

You will partner with business leaders to translate requirements into actionable plans, manage multiple mid-sized projects, and ensure sustainable transformation, with a focus on control, compliance, and effective change

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in process improvement and innovation in financial services/back office/retail settings (Required).
  • Advanced Visio skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with PowerApps preferred.

About the Role:A Process Innovation Specialist facilitates process improvement efforts with cross-functional groups for moderately complex processes. They deconstruct and document current processes, identify appropriate solutions to root cause issues, and design improved future states. They also capture opportunities for robotic process automation, including detailed steps for handoff to a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer.Work closely with the business line leaders to translate desired experiences into tangible processesLiaise between business and technical teamsAdapt process improvement methodology to the situationDevelop strong, effective working relationships with business lines and key stakeholders to effectively execute projects and ensure the sustainability of transformation practicesHelp identify changes needed in backroom support teams and control functions to support the efficient execution of transformation projectsWork with various teams to implement changesHelp remove barriers and inefficiencies that are slowing down processesMaintain awareness of potential regulatory and compliance needs in processesFacilitate candid, orderly discussions among diverse groups and achieve outcomes which support end state goalsCreate communication and change management plansOther responsibilities as assignedAll employees are responsible for internal controls in the performance of their assigned duties.
