Job summary

Kearney & Company seeks a Manager to join our team supporting one of the Federal government’s largest agencies. The role focuses on audit advisory services for the Department of Navy ERP modernization, with emphasis on internal controls and BPC design for SAP/S/4HANA implementations.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS, relevant certifications, and at least four years of experience, with the ability to visit the Alexandria site two days weekly and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university.
  • One of the following professional certifications: CPA, CISA, CIA, CGFM or CDFM.
  • Four (4) years of progressive experience relevant to the role.
  • Experience assessing, designing, and/or implementing internal controls within the Federal Government.
  • Ability to go onsite 2 days a week in Alexandria, VA
  • Travel up to 25%
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance (or higher) to be considered for this role (U.S. citizenship)

Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive audit advisory services to support the Department of Navy ERP modernization efforts.
  • Partnering with DON and audit stakeholders to ensure controls meet Federal FF M, financial reporting, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Define and document key Business Process Controls (BPCs) for S/4HANA implementation.
  • Reviewing functional requirements and leading End‑to‑End BPC design and documentation.
  • Manage sub‑task/project plan and coordinate with client and Kearney team.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and drive engagement goals under short deadlines.
  • Prepare and deliver high‑quality documentation including control catalog updates and status communications.
  • Direct and review project work and communicate status to Team Lead and client.

Job description

Kearney & Company is seeking a Manager to join our team supporting one of the Federal government’s largest agencies!

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive audit advisory services to support the Department of Navy (DON) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modernization efforts.
  • Partnering with DON and audit stakeholders to ensure controls achieve and sustain Federal Financial Management (FFM), financial reporting, audit, and compliance requirements within designated End‑to‑End processes.
  • Assessing existing and emerging business process requirements to define and document key Business Process Controls (BPCs) for S/4HANA implementation that reduce SAP customization while supporting auditability.
  • Reviewing functional requirements and leading DON End‑to‑End BPC design, development, and documentation of business process risk and control documentation.
  • Managing sub‑task/project plan: prioritize activities, meet established deadlines, work closely with the client and Kearney team, seek out and provide value‑added services.
  • Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work closely with the client and Kearney team to drive efforts to achieve engagement goals in occasional high‑pressure situations with short deadlines.
  • Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills to prepare and deliver high‑quality documentation, including control catalog updates, control documentation, control assessments, and project status communications.
  • Directing and reviewing the project work and communicating status of project‑related tasks to Team Lead and client.

The expected salary range for this position is between $77,000 and $125,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
