Responsibilities

  1. Charge Capture Process Design and Optimization: Analyze workflows, identify missed or incorrect charges, and align clinical documentation with charge generation.
  2. Epic System Alignment: Collaborate with Epic analysts to design or revise workflows using charge router, workqueues, CDM mapping, etc., ensuring proper use of charge triggers, order linking, and fee schedules.
  3. Revenue Integrity Audits and Data Analysis: Conduct root cause analyses on claim denials and underpayments; use Epic reports to monitor revenue leakage and design dashboards.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as liaison among clinical, HIM/coding, finance, and IT teams; lead process redesign efforts and ensure workflow compliance.
  5. Testing and Validation: Support testing phases including unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing.
  6. Project Management: Develop project plans, resolve issues, facilitate change management, and present updates to leadership.
  7. Client Communication: Prepare clear, client-ready communications with compelling storylines.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • 5+ years in an Epic Revenue Integrity leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of the revenue cycle and strategies to prevent revenue loss.
  • Epic certification in revenue cycle applications (multiple certifications preferred), with hands-on experience in HB/PB charging, charge router, and CDM.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to bridge technical and operational needs.
  • Ability to articulate and drive organizational KPIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across organizational levels.

Salary range: $118,000 - $172,000, plus potential bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and voluntary benefits.
