Position Overview

The Business Process Analyst Level III will review and analyze reports, documents, and information to provide recommendations and assessments for major Defense Acquisition Programs supporting the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) and related divisions, including the Assistant Secretaries of Defense and the Directorate of Business Operations (DBO).

Essential Job Functions

  1. Review reports and correspondence packages for completeness, structure, content, and format to ensure they meet task requirements.
  2. Provide recommendations to action officers to improve or finalize packages before senior review.
  3. Analyze information from various acquisition and program sources.
  4. Draft, review, and edit documents and reports.
  5. Participate in program performance assessments of Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
  6. Ensure clear communication of senior leader decisions in prepared correspondence.
  7. Assess document acceptability based on composition, coordination, and logical analysis.
  8. Monitor workload and prioritize tasks to direct document changes accordingly.
  9. Work under pressure, meet deadlines, manage priorities, handle sensitive information independently, and anticipate government needs.
  10. Interact with high-level officials and manage sensitive issues across multiple agencies and organizations.
  11. Perform executive administrative support duties as needed, including drafting funding documents, maintaining budgets, and managing correspondence.
  12. Coordinate activities supporting Program and Budget Reviews, OUSD(A&S) activities, and the annual Statement of Assurance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • At least five years of experience leading complex projects and providing technical guidance.
  • Experience supporting the DoD or federal agencies at an executive level.
  • Strong customer management and support skills.
  • Excellent customer service, judgment, flexibility, and confidence.
  • Ability to multitask across projects.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
