Position Overview

The Business Process Analyst Level III will review and analyze reports, documents, and information to provide recommendations to action officers and assess major Defense Acquisition Programs for the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) and supporting divisions, including the Assistant Secretaries of Defense and the Directorate of Business Operations.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Review reports and correspondence packages for completeness, structure, content, and format to ensure they meet all requirements.
  2. Recommend improvements to packages before senior review.
  3. Analyze information from various acquisition and program sources.
  4. Draft, review, and edit documents and reports.
  5. Participate in performance assessments of Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
  6. Ensure clear communication of senior leader decisions in correspondence.
  7. Assess document acceptability based on composition, coordination, and logic.
  8. Prioritize and direct document routing based on workload and importance.
  9. Work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage priorities, and handle sensitive information independently.
  10. Interact with high-level offices, including the Secretary of Defense, Congress, and foreign industry.
  11. Perform executive administrative support as needed, including drafting funding documents, maintaining budgets, and managing correspondence.
  12. Coordinate activities supporting Program and Budget Reviews, including preparing and reviewing Issue Papers.
  13. Support the annual Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Passback process.
  14. Assist in preparing reports, correspondence, and managing schedules and travel arrangements.
  15. Respond to inquiries and facilitate communication with stakeholders.
  16. Ensure compliance and proper routing of documents and correspondence.
  17. Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of classified documents.
  18. Provide customer service and support office operations as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • At least five years of experience leading complex projects and providing technical guidance.
  • Experience supporting executive-level functions within DoD or federal agencies.
  • Proven ability to manage customer expectations and work directly with clients.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, initiative, judgment, creativity, and confidence.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is preferred.
