Job summary

AFL is seeking a Business Analyst in Duncan, SC to analyze performance data, generate executive-ready insights, and support strategic planning. You will translate complex inputs into clear visuals and actionable recommendations, while coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, analytics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI or other data visualization tools preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and performance information to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas needing management attention.
• Translate data into insights, visualizations, and executive-ready materials.
• Support strategic planning, business reviews, and leadership forums through analysis and coordination.

• Support KPI reporting and dashboard creation to improve how performance information is communicated and used.

What Your Day Could Look Like

• Analyze business and performance information to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring management attention.
• Translate data and business inputs into clear insights, visualizations, and senior executive-ready materials.
• Support strategic planning, business reviews, and leadership forums through analysis, preparation, and cross-functional coordination.
• Use AI as a core part of the daily workflow to research, analyze, synthesize, automate, and improve planning and reporting processes.
• Support KPI reporting and the creation of dashboards to improve how performance information is communicated and used.
• Support the execution of the division operating rhythm, including planning milestones, reporting deadlines, leadership forums, templates, calendars, and other required inputs.
• Identify and implement improvements to planning processes, templates, tools, and workflows.
• Support preparation and distribution of executive briefing packages and communications materials.
• Provide coordination support for defined initiatives, including schedules, meeting notes, status tracking, and deliverable management.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-2 yrs of relevant experience in business analysis, strategic planning, business operations, finance, or a comparable analytical role.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate findings into clear business implications and recommended actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing materials for senior executive audiences and coordinating inputs across multiple functions.
• Working knowledge of AI-enabled productivity and analytical tools, with a commitment to responsible use and continuous learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential business information.
