As part of our National Finance & Administration Services department, you’ll help manage the critical resources and infrastructure that keep ALDI running smoothly. Your insights and skills will help every department make smarter decisions and ensure our retail divisions and executive leadership receive the support they need to run a successful operation. Within Finance, our teams include: Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Reporting, Tax, and Treasury.

Position Type: Full-Time
Starting Salary: $90,000
Salary Increases: Year 2 - $95,000 | Year 3 - $100,000

Work Location: Naperville, IL. This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days; work in-office at least 2 days).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key financial planning contact for divisional vice presidents and corporate cost center owners, developing monthly profit & loss forecasts and annual budgets.
• Review, understand, and incorporate local business impacts; communicate the consolidated business story to senior leadership.
• Identify and maintain forecast processes and models for a rapidly changing business; understand business challenges, propose, and support solutions.
• Partner directly with divisional and corporate leadership to translate financial information to non-financial users and support strategic recommendations.
• Understand and apply macro and micro-economic and other market impacts to business development; communicate with management appropriately.
• Review financial results, research variances to forecast and budget, identify exceptions, inconsistencies, and actionable opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate and complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to support leadership, Board meetings, and decision-making at US and global levels.
• Evaluate financial projections to forecast operational liquidity needs; advise on short-term investments, debt issuance, repayment, and restructuring decisions.
• Complete ad hoc data analysis, projects, and financial models as needed.
• Assist leadership with large-scale projects, including the annual budget and target-setting processes.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams.
• Analyze working procedures to identify and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to leaders.
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Proficiency with SAP/Analysis for Office preferred.
• Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Physical Requirements:

• Work may be performed in an office, remotely, or a combination, using computer and office equipment.
• Regularly sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move between areas.
• Constantly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally push, pull, bend, lift up to 25 lbs.

Travel: Minimal travel required for training, projects, and administrative duties.
