Job summary

The General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is seeking a Business Performance Director to lead data-driven performance analytics in St. Petersburg, FL.

You will partner with senior leadership to shape strategic initiatives, drive profitability, and guide long-range planning across functions. In this role, you will develop reporting tools, monitor organizational goals, and assess market trends, mergers, and partnerships to inform executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvement options effectively.
• Conducts periodic status reviews of organizational goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress.
• Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals.
• Develops and directs reporting and tools to communicate strategic plans and concepts to leadership.
• Executes and enables an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function.
• May analyze and recommend emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, the viability of outside business partners, and sources of capital.

• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Business Operations. Strategic Analysis. Strategic Project Management. Strategy Development. Strategy Management. Trend Analysis. Organizational Goal Setting. Strategic Planning. Risk Analysis. Long Term Planning.Experience leading Transactional Process Improvements (TPI), Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S events.

Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
