Description

The Business Outcome & Readiness Partner is accountable to work with matrixed and cross functional teams of teams to achieve strategic business outcomes. This position plays a vital role in the planning, prioritization and execution of organizational investments and activities required to efficiently and effectively run the business and achieve our strategic objectives.


Key accountabilities include representing the voice of the customer by providing domain knowledge and expertise to drive business outcomes, including the coordination of people, process and technology improvements. This role will act as a key change agent for the business and is accountable for business decisions related to the planning, delivery and operational aspects of a strategic portfolio of investments as well as continuous value stream improvement.


This role also provides domain knowledge and expertise to IT Product Team(s) to drive business outcomes. Understands and communicates impacts to all changes, and ensures stakeholders are informed, aligned and ready to meet objectives.



Key Accountabilities:



  • Responsible for ensuring achievement of business outcomes related to Claims, PI objectives.

  • Serve as primary contact and workgroup lead/owner for Optum/ COSMOS work activities.

  • Lead Value Steam workgroups, participates in strategic roadmap planning - at the Enterprise, Agile Release Train (ART) and functional level

  • Collaborate with other ART Business Owners and Product Management to negotiate dependencies and timelines for multiple competing organizational priorities.

  • Actively participate and provide business leadership in SAFe events including but not limited to Portfolio Syncs, Epic / Feature decomposition, PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops, etc.)

  • Serves as decision maker for the Claims Operations Paid Claims Value Stream in partnership with Claims Operations leadership

  • Accountable for coordinating updates to training materials, standard operating procedures, policies and procedures and business processes.

  • Ensures solutions for Paid Claims Value Stream are in compliance with Medica policies, government regulatory & legislative requirements.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather, assess and prioritize business needs



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field

  • 8 years of work experience beyond degree; specifically, within claims operations, payment integrity or related required



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

  • Experience working with technological development teams utilizing Agile methods; SAFe experience preferred

  • Multi-payer experience preferred

  • Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level.

  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view.



This position is a hub-based role which requires onsite presence. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership and may be up to 2-3 days a week. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must reside within a commuting distance to our Minnetonka, MN Office.


The full salary range for this position is $111,200 - $190,600. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
