Summary:

We are looking for a Brand Strategist to work on the global company marketing team. Brand Strategy is responsible for identifying the most important brand opportunities across portfolio, defining the blueprints and building the tools that help teams make enduring decisions. For example, the team defines the company s brand architecture strategy, develops positioning and naming models, and supports the development of the visual identity systems, brand marketing activations and product experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead discussions and recommendations on what brand types are appropriate for new or existing products, services, and programs, and what brand within the portfolio they might leverage in-market
  • Lead discussions and recommendations on how to organize brands and offers in specific areas of the business
  • Lead naming work for products, features and capabilities
  • Author strategic briefs for product, creative and marketing partners
  • Partner with creative, comms, media, policy, product and more to develop cohesive go-to-market strategies
  • Develop and refine tools (e.g., frameworks, decision trees, guidelines, training) to equip the company
  • Collaborate with our internal insights team and external partners to design and analyze research and measurement
  • Bring your brand and visual identity lens to work, ensuring we re applying existing systems and identifying opportunities to develop new systems

Skills and Experience:

  • 12+ years experience in a strategist or planning role at a brand-side company, agency or consultancy
  • Experience building, implementing and optimizing brand foundations, including brand positioning, messaging frameworks and design systems
  • Fluency in brand architecture strategy, portfolio organization
  • Deep experience in and a passion for naming
  • Experience partnering with product teams (product design, content design, product management) and using brand strategy to inform product experiences and GTM executions
  • Experience collaborating with dynamic and matrixed organizations
  • Experience partnering with creative and/or design teams
  • Experience leveraging data, research and insights to inform strategies and recommendations
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Experience and comfort presenting to executive and senior leadership
  • An ability to maintain a view of the overarching picture, while going deep on details
  • Experience working with a portfolio of brands
  • Tech sector background
  • Experience developing and rolling out cross-org strategies for brand implementation and/or governance

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in design, Brand or Marketing Strategy.
  • 10+ years of experience required.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $100.00 - $105.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
