MITRE's Benefits Systems and Mission Operations Department within the Center for Government Effectiveness and Modernization - Veterans, Military Health, and Benefits Division partners with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to address some of the nation's most complex enterprise challenges. Our department supports sponsors across the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) by strengthening enterprise operations, improving mission delivery, and enabling effective program execution through business operations, workforce planning, financial management, and operational support.
The Senior Business Operations role supports effective project and department operations through workforce planning, staffing coordination, financial management, and management reporting. The selected candidate will collaborate with project leadership, department management, finance, contracts, human resources, and other stakeholders to monitor staffing and financial performance, coordinate staffing assignments, track labor, budgets, expenditures, and forecasts, develop recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reports, identify risks, address resource needs, resolve operational issues, and support informed business decisions that enable successful project execution.
