Job description

Business Operations & People Coordinator

Cooper People Group (CPG) is a woman-owned, fast-growing firm whose purpose is to enrich the world of work. We are a team of seasoned HR leaders that are passionate about helping small to mid-sized companies across the Great Lakes and beyond to develop their HR strategy, structure, people and processes. We exist to lead and support organizations who have no HR, HR in transition, and HR with too much on their plate. We are driven to enrich the work of work because we believe that everyone deserves to do their best work with the best people and are guided by our core values:

  • Humble Leaders: This means we are curious, yet unassuming. We say, \"I'm on it.\" We demonstrate competence in our skill and abilities without arrogance or dominance. We will find a way to say yes, even if it's not with us. We are trusted, reliable, and accountable. It does not mean that we strive for perfection over progress.
  • People First: This means we focus on the 'human' in Human Resources. We put people before profits. We take time for our own people. We believe that culture and compliance are complimentary. We believe that strong talent, teams, and organizations begin with people. It doesn't mean it's about one person; it's about all people.
  • In It Together: This means we go out of our way to make each other look good. We say 'WE' not 'YOU'. We meet you where you are – especially if you are new, stuck, or still learning. We give generously our time and talents. We support a culture of belonging and inclusion. This does not mean we hold back when something important needs to be said or done.
  • Masters of our Craft: This means we are great at what we do, and we deliver excellent results. We say, 'nothing scares me.' We have a bias for continuous learning and exploration of our craft. We fail forward. It does not mean that we recreate the wheel.

We'd love to have you join us as a part-time (12-15 hours per week) Business Operations and People Coordinator!
