Job summary

Creative Design Group, Inc. is seeking a Business Operations Manager to oversee HR operations, business systems, and financial processes.

Working with the President, you will develop scalable processes and drive efficiency across multiple functions. You will manage HR administration, system administration for PM platforms, and financial planning while partnering with department leaders to implement automation and AI-enabled improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Agency Experience is a must
  • 5+ years of business operations management experience
  • Experience managing multiple business functions simultaneously
  • Experience with HR administration
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Job description

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for the operational backbone of Creative Design Group. This role ensures the business runs efficiently by overseeing internal HR operations, business systems and technology, and financial operations. Working directly with the President, this individual develops processes, improves operational efficiency, and provides the information needed to make informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Human Resources & Employee Operations

Serve as the primary administrator for internal HR operations and employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration and serve as the primary liaison with insurance brokers and vendors
  • Lead annual Open Enrollment planning and communication
  • Maintain employee handbook and company policies
  • Draft and implement new company policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and documentation requirements
  • Coordinate employee records and HR systems
  • Support bi-annual performance review processes
  • Assist leadership with organizational planning and workforce initiatives
  • Coordinate employee recognition and engagement initiatives and annual retreat
2. Business Systems & Operational Infrastructure

Own the systems that keep the company operating efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as system administrator for project management platforms
  • Manage Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including:
  • SharePoint
  • Teams
  • OneDrive
  • Employee intranet
  • Maintain company knowledge management and documentation
  • Evaluate and implement new operational technologies
  • Improve workflows through automation and AI solutions
  • Partner with department leaders and development team to improve operational processes and suggestions for AI optimization
  • Train employees on new processes, monitor adoption rate, and provide support
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Manage software licensing and vendor relationships
  • Ensure data integrity across operational systems
  • Support reporting dashboards and internal business intelligence tools
3. Financial Operations & Business Planning

Provide financial visibility that supports informed decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare client estimates and project budgets in partnership with program managers
  • Review project profitability and financial performance on a weekly basis
  • Maintain company forecasting models
  • Develop revenue projections and cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare executive financial reports and dashboards
  • Partner with leadership on annual budgeting
  • Coordinate invoicing process with production and client services teams
  • Track pipeline revenue and business forecasts
  • Analyze operational KPIs and recommend improvements
  • Manage accounts payable & accounts receivable
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, or related field
  • Agency Experience is a must
  • 5+ years of business operations management experience
  • Experience managing multiple business functions simultaneously
  • Experience with HR administration
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience in a professional services, consulting, agency, or creative environment
  • Familiarity with project management software
  • Experience with SharePoint administration
  • Experience with business intelligence or reporting dashboards
  • Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems

  • Experience implementing AI or workflow automation tools
