Job Summary

Performs various duties to support business operations, providing customer service and clerical/administrative support for the department.

Essential Functions
  1. Adhere to Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
  2. Coordinate schedules for procedures and specialties with rehab to optimize patient care and therapist productivity. Follow up with patients for scheduling.
  3. Verify patient benefits, educate patients on insurance coverage, calculate cost estimates, and communicate financial responsibilities to improve satisfaction.
  4. Confirm and maintain authorizations from payors, ensure clean claim submissions, process payments, and handle billing inquiries.
  5. Respond to therapy referrals, triage based on urgency, and document authorizations.
  6. Order supplies, maintain office equipment, submit invoices, manage mail, and train staff on office procedures.
  7. Answer phones, respond to voicemails, provide information on therapy and treatments, and greet patients.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent, or post-high school education.
  2. At least two years of experience in admissions, billing, collections, insurance, or customer service.
