Responsibilities

Provide operational support through various business office functions such as Human Resources, Medical Records, Credentialing, Admissions/Intake, Accounts Payable, Billing, Collections, Clinical Logs, month-end reporting, and other duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Business Office team and functions for smooth and efficient operations
  • Supervise non-medical personnel, including orientation, coaching, and evaluations
  • Manage human resource procedures
  • Serve as a backup to all business office team members
  • Ensure timely and accurate administrative and accounting procedures, monitor reports
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and act as main contact for building maintenance
  • Liaise with billing, maintenance, and housekeeping vendors, including contract negotiations
  • Oversee payroll processing and submit for corporate processing
  • Collaborate with Clinical Director to ensure operational efficiency and report activities to the Administrator
  • Assist in promoting the utilization of the Surgery Center
  • Interpret and implement contracts with third-party payers accurately
  • Answer phone calls as needed
  • Maintain competency in job tasks and equipment annually
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as required

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred, or High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a medically-related environment; surgery center experience a plus
  • Experience supervising non-medical staff
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with patient admissions, scheduling, and medical office operations desired
  • Understanding of insurance processes, including verification
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Medical Billing Software; SharePoint and SurveyMonkey preferred
  • Good communication and phone etiquette

Salary range: USD $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.
